College Tutors

The College will designate each undergraduate a tutor who should contact you regularly and be able to help in any situation where you are not entirely sure what you should do. It is always worth getting to know your tutor as another part of their role is to provide you with references when you need them! You will have the opportunity to meet your tutor early on in your time in John’s. If for any reason you are not happy with your college tutor, you should speak to the Senior Tutor, as the possibility of change is available.

The Resident Tutors

 There are three Resident Tutors in college at the moment: Ben Salter, Gerry Aiken and Kevin Tyson. One resident tutor is on call every night, and they should be contacted in case of emergencies. They also provide a mature source of support (having all graduated they have all experienced the university life!) whilst in their youth are still able to relate easily to undergraduates.
